How to verify digital evidence

Retain the unchanged original. Download the PDF, record.json and evidence ZIP. Recalculate the original SHA-256 and compare it with the signed record.

JSON is signed with an Ed25519 technical operator key. Establish the operator key through an independent channel; a key embedded in a file does not by itself identify its holder. This is not a qualified electronic signature.

The QR carries only the record ID, fingerprint and date, with no author, title or domain. External time proofs are checked separately. Certificates have no visible service branding.
